Maude Barlow
Maude Barlow is the National
Chairperson of The Council of Canadians, Canada's largest public
advocacy organization with over 100,000 members. She is a Director
with the International Forum on Globalization, a San Francisco
based research and educational institution opposed to economic
globalization and co-founder of the Blue Planet Project, an international
civil society movement to stop the commodification of water.
Maude is the recipient of two honorary doctorates - from Memorial
University in Newfoundland and the University of Victoria in
British Columbia and the best selling author or co-author of
14 books. Her latest books are, Blue Gold, The Battle to Stop
Corporate Theft of the World's Water (Tony Clarke) which has
been published in 10 countries and Profit is Not the Cure: A
Citizen's Guide to Saving Medicare.
