Chamber Music

The philosophy of chamber music at Chautauqua is that it is "an ensemble that usually has one musician on a part, without conductor." This provides a diversity of both instrumental and vocal music from medieval chant to Brahms to jazz to the contemporary music of our time.

The Chautauqua Institution provides a variety of chamber music experiences each season. The nine-performance Logan Chamber Music Series takes place at 4 p.m. Mondays in Elizabeth S. Lenna Hall. A diverse selection of guest ensembles are invited to perform.

The Logan Chamber Music series is underwritten in part by the Harry A. Logan, Jr. Fund for the Performing Arts.
