The state-of-the-art Cohen Recording Studio is located on the lower level of Smith Memorial Library. Many morning and afternoon speakers, CLSC authors and other special guests are interviewed and recorded for podcasts available online. The studio is also used by the Schools of Fine and Performing Arts for recordings and by the Institution for podcasts promoting the upcoming Chautauqua season.

The Cohen Recording Studio is also available to hire for music recording sessions and oral histories.
