July 3 - David Kozak
Mid-term Election of 2010

Back by popular demand, David C. Kozak is a professor of public policy and director of the Institute for Policy and Leadership Studies at Gannon University in Erie, Pa. He is a visiting professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Kozak has lectured on American government and politics in Israel, Australia, Europe, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong.

July 10 - June Carbone
Red Families vs. Blue Families

June Carbone is the Edward A. Smith/Missouri Chair of Law, the Constitution and Society at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Her recent book (with Naomi Cahn) Red Families v. Blue Families: Legal Polarization and the Creation of Culture features groundbreaking research that may transform peoples’ understanding of contemporary American culture and law.

July 17 - Haynes Johnson
Obama and the Politics of Polarization

Haynes Johnson is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and best-selling author. He has reported on most of the major news stories of the last half-century and is widely regarded as one of the nation's top political commentators. He is the author or editor of sixteen books, five of them best-sellers, including his most recent work, co-authored with Washington Post political reporter Dan Balz, The Battle for America: 2008.

July 24 - Deborah Peel
Why there is NO Privacy in Health Care

Dr. Deborah Peel is a psychiatrist who has advocated for patient privacy on behalf of state and national medical societies. She has provided testimony before Congress and is a founder of the bipartisan Coalition for Patient Privacy.

August 7 - Lawrence J. Rizzolo, PhD, FARVO
Demystifying Stem Cells: What are They and Why Should We Care

Associate Professor, Dept. of Surgery Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Rizzolo received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Duke University, postdoctoral training in biochemistry at Harvard Medical School and in cell biology at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr Rizzolo updates and translates the exciting world of stem cell research.

August 14 - John Heilemann

He is the former staff writer for The New Yorker, Wired, and The Economist.

August 21 - Philip K. Howard
Life Without Lawyers: Restoring Responsibility in America

Philip K. Howard formed CommonGood, a nonpartisan national coalition dedicated to restoring common sense to America. He has a long record as a prominent civic leader and public policy activist and has advised national political leaders on legal and regulatory reform. In addition to Life Without Lawyers), Philip is the author of The Death of Common Sense and The Collapse of the Common Good. He is Vice-Chairman of the law firm Covington & Burling, LLP.
