During the summer season, the Institution maintains a service dock complex with slip and mooring facilities. You may reserve rental moorage on a space-available basis at our Central Dock Office. To make reservations before your arrival for the full season call customer service at (716) 357-6250. For weekly mooring call (716) 357-6288 after May 15.
Chautauqua Lake provides an abundance of game and fish. Muskellunge create the greatest excitement, and the muskie season, from late June to October, draws fisherman from all over the United States and Canada. The lake contains large and smallmouth bass, calico and rock bass, walleyes, and perch among other fish.
A fishing license may be purchased at Hogan's Hut on Route 394 near the entrance to Route 17/I-86 in Stow or at the town clerk's office in Mayville.
